Student motivation is integral to their success

This module helped in serving as a reminder that no mater what pedagogy we prescribe to ourselves or to other teachers, what must remain is the human element. Getting frustrated will, of course, happen but we can not allow our frustrations to exert themselves against the students and must understand where it is that they are coming from. Losing our ability to recognize student's as individuals and instead ascribing them to the role of student, will not only prevent their own internal motivations, but will impede your ability to succeed.

I would motivate my students by doing things that they are interested in by obtaining a survey at the beginning of the semester to be sure that I know them well and use that knowledge for better engagement.

I have learned to share my first hand experiences and to remain empathetic and enthusiastic!

Motivating students is important, but isn't necessarily difficult if you're focused on doing your job correctly.  Showing up, being present and active in the classroom, and sharing your excitement for the field is really all you have to do.

Motivation is key to anyone’s success so using this tool with the techniques presented will encourage students to elevate themselves inside the course.

The best instructors really care about helping students learn and equipping them for success. They are passionate about their career field and what they teach; and they believe in and demonstrate excellence and integrity.

Students need reinforcement that supports learning. They need feedback so that they don’t lose enthusiasm. Great teachers know the content and they know their students.

motivation through instructor enthusiasm!

it is important to include the learning styles of your students in your teachings.

As an instructor it's very important to understand each student and give them the feedback based on their performances which will help them to correct and modify their way of learning and get motivated to learn more about the subject.

Student success is largely on the instructor. It is critical to apply knowledge based, tactical instruction that engages all learners at their level and doing this correctly means knowing your students.

Always stay positive and let your attitude reflex in the course.

As an instructor, offering students learning techniques that will assist them in learning content for application must be delivered. Developing information retention strategies that will make memory retention easier is a must.

Get to know your students so you can connect and identify if they're struggling.

How to encourage students to set clearly defined goals, expectations, and rules. Also, how to develop meaningful and respectful relationships with students so they can set achievable goals.

Be the excitment in the classroom, the motivator.  Be the expert but also not the one who knows every answer.

The more students' needs and expectations are met, the more they are motivated to learn

Motivating your students relies heavily on knowing what motivates them. Building rapport and engaging students is foundational to maintaining their drive to succeed.

To be encouraging, relating course content to experiential examples, and allowing students to use personal experiences as points of reference helps further the students buy-in and motivation for doing well in the class.
