I love all of the different ways we have to motivate people.  Also really pay attention to how we deliver content - avoiding the pitfalls of "Um" and "You know" that get in the way of instruction.

Student learning is driving by a students motivation which is demonstrated in a variety of ways; self promotion, external pressure, or other reasons. Cater instruction to students by learning their individual motivations and support the student on their learning journey by being engaging and developing a rapport with the student through trust and understanding that you are there to see them succeed.

Motivation and positive feedback without criticism is essential.

Motivational teaching especially in career and technical education takes real world application and experience into the classroom and lab.  With an instructor who is positive and encouraging which develops a rapport the student inherently buys in.

Reinforcement and motivation can help with student success.

Tying in real life experiences with lecture will help students retain information better

It helps to be passionate about the subject matter and connect the info taught with real world situations.

Knowing the subject matter and applying to real life situations for the students is very helpful.

From this module I learned it is easy to motivate students when you care about each individual student and not seeing them as one class, but different people who are in your class for many different reasons. It is our job to motivate and excite them.

Encouragement was one thing that kept me in my program when I wanted to quit. These instructors kept encouraging me not to leave, gave me study tips, and made sure I got my work done. So my experience of encouragement has been both emotionally and physically beneficial for me.

I learned the power of knowledge and preparation, although it is also known as competence, substance, content, or experience.

Great instructors are motivators who know their students and build a rapport with them bringing knowledge to life through instruction and past life experiences.

Being willing to motivate your students which includes reinforcement is very important to enhancing their learning

As the instructor I need to show enthusiasm towards the content I am teaching. Provide positive feedback immediately. know your students.

Creating trust, letting them know that you are here for them, and also knowing that you do not know everything. You can share your experience with the student, regroup and refocus, and make sure not to lose the excitement.

Retention and transference are the two major ways information is stored in long-term memory. This involves the repetitive application of procedures and concepts for working memory.

Having the ability to motivate students with your instruction, instructing in a way that is diverse and inclusive to all learners. Providing reinforcement for the students to gain motivation as well. 

This module was effective in teaching how a positive atmosphere is the best way to get students to absorb information like a sponge. There is no room for negativity in a classroom setting.  It can really deflate any progress and the program can get a bad reputation for it as well.

El entusiasmo y la motivación del instructor actúa como un modelo a seguir por el estudiante, no puedo convencer a mis estudiantes que el aprendizaje es interesante , entretenido y agradable si yo como instructor estoy desmotivado y aburrido de mi praxis docente. Siempre he creído que el fin más importante de nuestras clases es promover y garantizar el aprendizaje, pero si insistimos en concentrarnos en los resultados entonces olvido el proceso de aprender que es realmente lo importante. Por lo tanto no nos podemos concentrar solo en retroalimentar al estudiante solo en aquellas cosas que no logro o que no ha alcanzado, sino hacerle saber como puede lograr el aprendizaje.

Keeping students focused is important. The REFOCUS tool is an excellent tool to identify and get student back on track.

I will provide timely positive feedback in an enthusiastic learning environment. Encourage students that have professional experience. And incorporate semantic and episodic learning experiences.
