Being prepared and knowledgeable on the topic and delivering it with passion will not only motivate your student, but keep them in engaged.

Be enthusiastic about the subject matter while demonstrating hat we are there to share our knowledge and help them achieve their educational goals. Communicating to the students that we are not experts but are further along in the learning process than they are.

Be ready to answer any questions they have in mind. Motivating the students an encourage them how to learn the course.

One cannot overstate the importance of effective motivational strategies and the early recognition of what it takes for the student to succeed.

The concept I learned is how to relate personal student experience, instructor experience and academic content in order to optimize cognitive level in the learning process, trying to guarantee not only content learning but experience about the content

Students are not motivated by the same thing. One may be motivated to get an A in the class, while the grade is not as important to another student.

Course requirements should not be so hard that each week is perceived by students as a potential to fail the course.

Instructor excitement and engagement will yield student excitement and engagement. The students must know that you care.

Research has shown that there are four cornerstones of instruction that can be used by instructors to motivate and inspire their students. These are expertise, empathy, enthusiasm, and clarity.

From this module, I've learned how to use the student's motivation as a learning tool.

This module showed me the importance of Positive feedback to keep the students motivated to continue to retain the information that they are learning. Students must be able to see the meaning or purpose for the information, and they must also understand and have the capability to apply the information.

I tend to motivate my students with the see one, do one, teach one method.

I found the information about semantic and episodic memory interesting. Something I will keep in mind is to form a connection between what is taught and student experience to help with long-term retention of what is learned.

Relevance=Retention

I enjoyed learning about the importance of providing motivation for students.

Instructors should be motivators. Offering your expertise is a huge motivator for students. This models behavior and the Instructor is looked at as a skilled professional in the career area.

One of the biggest reasons why students drop out- is because of all the time and resources they are expected to commit on school. Students find that they just dont have the time to get everything in their lives done.

This module illustrated the importance of keeping and maintaining student motivation. Keeping students motivated is integral to their success in their program. Ensuring your expertise on your subject matter, being empathetic to student situations both in the learning environment as well as any outside stressors that may impact their ability to learn successfully is essential.

The instructor must dell the student on the value of their chosen profession and importance of achieving their goals

Students will require motivation to encourage learning; therefore, as an instructor it is important to reinforce students learning by providing positive feedback.

Involve them, share experiences from the field, be knowledgeable about the subject at hand. keeping them interested will overall keep them interested in the particular trade they want to thrive in. as instructors its our job to influence, motivate, ensure understanding and be thorough enough that they understand, grasp and retain the knowledge learned.

I love all of the different ways we have to motivate people.  Also really pay attention to how we deliver content - avoiding the pitfalls of "Um" and "You know" that get in the way of instruction.
