Keeping students engaged and motivated from one class to another, Instructors must understand that each student has a different learning style. Retention and keeping individual students focused in the classroom is dependent on the instructor to understand and being able to adapt to deferent learning styles and techniques for each student.

by learning each individual students challenges and limitations, instructors have the opportunity to develop innovative methods to increase retention. Connecting and engaging with students from day one helps students begin to bond and build relationships with peers, students, and staff increasing the students to be more likely to ask for help. Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment providing constructive feedback, with relatable learning opportunities encourage students motivation.  

learning to effectively retain students, focus on creating engaging, supportive, personalized environment for learning. Include proactive academic support, with a great sense of community. while managing potential challenges sooner than later. Implementing these strategies helps students feel motivated, and valued leading to success.  

being confident in the field to be studied that day, while bringing up your own job experiences good, or bad, even funny is a good way to get a class asking questions about the subject at hand.  

no two students are the same. Understanding this when getting to know each student you will learn the best combination for keeping that student engaged in class, and not frustrated in the lab. Keeping students walking down the path of success with encouraging words, lifting confidents little by little will help produce the empowerment to accomplish, and overcome any road block in life.
