Scafolding learning technique is important so students build on prior learnings. Online platforms create interactive communication whether S2I, I2S, S2S.

That is a great way too get the students involved more in the scafolding technique keeps them engaged

Some of things I've learned are the importance of communication in all forms including student to student, intructor to student and instructor to group (etc). I've also learned how important it is to communicate expectations clearly in the syllabus.

What I've learned in this module is the importance of buiding a good communication tools within the online community.  I also learned the eight scaffolding tasks in order to promote learning such as providing clear instructions, keeping students on task, reducing uncertainty and disappointments...

I learned it is important to ensure students are learning through scaffolding and to know when to update it if they are not learning.

In designing... make sure content builds upon each other...

Having online discussions is just as important instructor involvement.  Scaffolding allows for the continual development of knowledge by building on prior knowledge and expanding information.

I learned the importance of developing a well planned syllabus to ensure the success and expectations of the course

You need to consider exactly how a discussion board supports learning and student involvement.

Two valuable pieces of information I learned were the effetiveness of encouraging student to student communication and the importance of instructor participaition in discussion forums. Student to student communication can assist with their questions and working together as a support system.

Scaffolding provides structure for student learning and focus for student activities. Students build upon their prior knowledge, experiences, and skills with new knowledge presented in an online course to develop more complex and robust learning scaffolds.

That scafoldoing is building on prior learning and this is a logical sequential process but all students dont do it at the same pace or ability and have not had identical prior learning traits.

Be dynamic, add attractive content and encourage response to that content.

What I have learned is the importance to a syllabus and If I were teaching I would make sure that I have a syllabus to make sure the instruction was organized and planned.

learned about effectice communication being important to student sucess and how to work with students in groups and collab

One of the things I leraned is the imprtance of the communication during the online learning process.

A syllabus should guide students through the course in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Furthermore, responses to students must be so much more than "Great work!" or "Really good job!" Feedback should be specific and tailored to each student.

I like the idea of building an online community.  I think what was made clear to me is that it must have a purpose and create a sense of belonging to the student.

The eight rules of scaffolding make a lot of sense.

In this module I have understood the importance of creating dynamic records and the scaffolding of learning.
