Learning different assesment techniques is important in the teaching process. It allows instructors to get a sense on how their course is perfomring and how students are learning. It also helps to determine what knowledge students come to us with. 

It is important to understand the many personality traits in order to understand how individuals learn best. 

As with healthcare and the HIPPA laws, it is important to ensure privacy is met in the educations setting. 

I learned about on campus and off campus differences. Also learned that it is not required for victims to report it to the police, however they are encouraged to. 

The importance of a good working relationship between students and professors is critical to the sucess of a program and institution. 

Learning all about different methods of engaging students and encouraging active learning has greatly shaped my efforts moving forward. 

Active learning is crucial to the learning process. The method of delivery should ideally change every 15 minutes during synchronous learning to keep learners motivated And engaged 

Labs are crucial to simulate hands on learning and to drive home the topics being taught. When teaching online it is important to have options for still hold lab time. 

It is very important to have continual feedback from students in order to ensure the course is engaging and efficient. 

Hearing the perspectives on synchronous and asynchronous learning is very insightful. I previoulsy felt asynchronous was a better option for many online learners due to their other life needs. Now I think otherwise as their education should take precedence.
