I have learned to go thru everything as if I was taking the class to make sure it all works properly and is easy to access.

For the benefit of the student’s progress and a less stressful environment, we will increase technical assistance for resolving software issues and expedite problem-solving for instructors and students. Encourage peer-to-peer learning, as well as peer-to-peer feedback and intellectual exchange in the classroom- to increase engagement. Include more user-friendly menus to simplify the navigation through courses.
I learned that in order for students to be successful in the online environment, the instructor must be prepared for all types of learners. Communication is going to be key to ensuring the students and instructor are on the same page and understand the platform and navigation of the CMS. Structure, including clear expectations for the courses are necessary for student success.
It makes sense that even though e-learners have chosen an online environment, they still want the support of an actual teacher. As a teacher for online instruction, I will be more effective if I can understand the perspective of my students by familiarizing myself with the same process of learning that they are experienceing. The more familiar I am with the deadlines, media, interaction features and content contained in the CMS, the more supportive I can be as the instructor.
As an online instructor, I will get familiar with the course content and do the assignments myself to understand where the students might be difficulties. I will post content that will target the different types of learners to facilitate students.
I defeninately think understanding the course content before responding to my students responses is key. I review the presentation and notes before i engage in the conversation. I also like to know where my students got their information from.
I found the online course charactaristics an intersting way to understand what needs to be present in an online course.
I have learned so far that there are many different ways to help students succeed. It is important as an instructor to learn all the technology in how to set up an online class, for students to communicate successfully. It is important to know The CMS system and know how to navigate through the different page to the rooster, gradebook, etc. I am aware it may take some time to be familiar with working on the instructor side of things instead of the student side. It is always good to have a peer to work out the issues.
Stucture of content and ensuring one is familiar with all aspects relevent to facilitating/managing the coure via CMS is crutial to ensuring content is delived in a logical and meaningful way as well as in an engaging format.
Task and technical support that can be used by instructors at any time
It is apparative to know the CMS and how it operates from all levels. Instructors, students, Technical etc. So many tools to help enlighten the students knowledge in the course.
I have learned that no two instructors will have the same delivery method, but it is imperative that each instructor follow all contractual guidelines to reach the same endstate.

I think one of the most useful points was making sure to do your best to minimize learner frustration through instructor support, technical support, and preparation of the instructor.
I learned that thorough knowledge of the delivery system is key. Being able to put yourself in the shoes of the student and what they can possibly go through will make it easier to assist them if a problem arrises. Making sure they follow the module plan is extreamely important, so that progress can be tracked and feedback can be streamlined
I have learned about the varios forms of communication with students or different people online, to have a succesful relation with them.
Famaliarity with the CMS used will help in delivering the ideal enviroment for each student.
Dropping students from discussion threads is a new suggestion I haven't heard of before
To help the students succeed, the instructor needs to be present, engaged, and organized.
It's just as important to respond to student questions in an online environment as it is in an in-person environment. Professors need to familiarize themselves with the technology they are using.
