This module informed me of the importance of understanding the different components of the CMS. It also provided clear expectations of the instructor in relation to what the student will see/understand.

The Faculty must be ready to access CMS and learn the different aspect of the CMS to include: Weekly modules, attaendance, home where the syllabus is posted as well as policies and procedures as required. Also looke at discussion section, grading configuration, assignment, etc./

Need to be able to accommodate all learners.

It is important for the instructor to be familiar with all aspects of the online course prior to the start of the class.

To be a successful instructor I need to be familiar with my course content, and use a layout that is easy to navigate so students can find what the need.

Course Delivery taught me all the learning and technical support through the CMS system.

This course showed how to engage students and why the delivery is important.

I learned from this course that the delivery is just as important as the content and how information is delivered can affect student learning and/or comprehension on topics.

In order to be successful in teaching my course, the proper structure and layout of the course is what helps the students navigate through.  The more that is clear to them, there will be less chance for students to become frustrated.

This part of the course has reminded me that is not enough to simply master the content; it is also necessary to know and master our institution's educational platform.

I like the idea of setting up a reminder or for work to be automatically posted on a certain day or time, so you do forget to do so.

Posting a summary of the discussion board questions after it closes is a new idea to me. I think this is a good way to make sure key points have been covered by the students.

Some things I learned in this module was to make sure to pay attention to the fine details and to set my online structure up to where it is easily accessible where I can keep it organized.

Key take aways include prioritizing social-emotional connection, setting clear communication and expectations.

Students prefer the Module format

Comment on Ben Austin's post: Totally agree with Austin, be visible, show your face and set clear hours to remain accessible for the students.

The suggestions for different strategies to present the course were helpful.

This module taught me that course delivery is important, and you need to know how to approach it in a way that is effective for the students. I also learned every instructor has their own way to teach the material, but it is important to be able to provide support to the students and adapt.
