As an online instructor, being familiar with the online learning structure is a key to success. In this way, I can know how to access and mange the essential parts of online learning, such as grades, discussion, and assignments. In addition, communication is different with online learning than in-person, so I will need to learn how to use the different methods of communication.
A structure and order is part of a successful planning, in online education, everything must be very clear, that nothing is left to interpretation. Monitoring and accompaniment guarantees peace of mind in the student's learning, therefore providing feedback in a timely manner guarantees success in the learning process and the student's confidence in the environment in which it is obtained.
I have learned that in an e-learning environment it is of extreme importance to be able to provide the students with as much support as they may need so that they may feel a sense of comfort and security while taking the course. As an instructor I will make sure to familiarise myself with the course guidelines so that I may be able to provide my students as much support as they may need in a timely manner. At the same time, I have learned that familiarising myself with the CMS system is also key to providing my students any additional technical support they may need.

Ser instructor online requiere por parte del docente nuevas posibilidades de aprendizaje. Estos entornos virtuales son una invitación no solo a tener una preparación acádemica, si no tambien el desarrollo de competencias que te permitan gestionar el aula virtual para que la experiencia del alumno sea satisfactoria.
Muchas cosas que seguir aprendiendo, y estoy segura que pondre en práctica todo lo hasta aqui aprendido.
Students will learn more if teachers are familiarized with the online platform and the method of teaching suggested. There are several ways to interact with students and it may help to make this clear from the beginning.
The most important novelty, for me, is that as an instructor in a CMS, it means being in charge not only of the content, but also of the digital competences of the students to use the same CMS, a skill that we cannot assume. In some institutions this is resolved with another role, that of the technical advisor. I will take this novelty into account, and always consult the institutional managers about the distribution of roles and assigned tasks.
I have learned the elements that I should consider for online teaching and how to implement it with the materials I have to date. The course taught me to restructure some elements that needed to be strengthened.

Communication is very important and it does not matter if it is in person, on the phone or in writing. I work from home and make many calls. My tone of voice is very important when calling. This helped me very much because now I know I have to be prepared before calling and I need to watch my tone since it is the most important.
In order to achieve success in an online delivery the professor must take the necessary steps to prepare him/her self and plan the proposed course in a very detailed basis. Goals, expectations, assignments, interactions with students must be clearly stated.
With e-learning the key is knowing the goal, and methods of how the class is to be delivered and the times deliverables are due. Having a plan, making a schedule, keep me as an instructor, on time with my responsibilities.
Understanding the CMS platform is a good beginning.
I learned that communication can be disastrous and messages can not only get diluted and lost but terribly misconstrued if proper techniques are not applied.
The best way to truly delivery instruction is to keep in mind the following,
Are students allowed repeated attempts at quizzes? If they are allowed repeated attempts, do they receive the same questions with each attempt, or do they receive a parallel version of the quiz?
Are quiz questions equally weighted or do some questions have higher points assigned to them?
Are you responsible for unlocking course content? (If yes, create a time-table in which you note the points at which you have to do so.)
Can students post contributions to all discussion questions throughout the duration of the course, or is there a specified time beyond which they cannot post to a particular discussion forum?
What are the roles and responsibilities of any guest lecturers?
Are there any notes the course author has provided to support the delivery of the course? (Remember to seek clarification on any aspect of the course from the course author, if necessary.)
Though I have been an instructor for many years, this module opened my eyes to a new point of view. Instructors are as crucial as technical support in the infrastructure system to provide an optimal learning experience. The learners will be more comfortable knowing they will be supported in both "educational and technical" challenges whenever they need.
I found it interesting to see all the different tasks and support that will be on us as instructors.
I have learned that online learning is a convenient and comfortable option for a lot of people, mostly those that have families and full time jobs.
Online learning is very different but has great platforms to be able to connect and support my students.
It's important for instructors to essentially be experts in the CMS, as well as the course material. They should be able to navigate the CMS and assist students in doing so and ensure everything is functionally properly in order to facilitate a success online course following the module/lesson structure. Without this kind of knowledge and preparation, the instructor will start their course at a disadvantage and be less equipped to support the success of their students.
Time must be given to learn the learning style of my students. Online communication is just s or more important than the classroom setting. Students must be able to contact me so posting announcements and classroom hours are very important.
The instructor must finds way of keeping the students engaged.
This module seemed to focus on the mechanics of the course. This would specifically include becoming familiar with the CMS that you will be utilizing for your course. In order to be effective and support student learning, it is important to understand all of the mechanics of the system, be proficient in each task that would need to be complete and knowledgeable about it in order to assist students.
