For those with disabilities, how does the instructor know the equipment a student is utilizing. Our school does not allow tests to be done on an IPAD, this is because of formatting, so this is a concern for those with disabilities and the equipment they use, how do we know it is effective with the formatted content.

I Like the CPA - clear, professional, appropriate, and CoP - the community of practice. Two concepts help the students be their best and get the most out of the course.  Knowing how to comport themselves within the class is important.

Working to set up an online class that includes encouragement, goal setting, and understanding and encouraging students to manage time, know their strengths and weaknesses along with the encouragement to strengthen their weaknesses will make the online experience better.

Course should be interactive, short instruction with questions to enhance learning.

Evaluations help the instructor evaluate how the course was received  a great course has an instructor who works to facilitate good participation.

Both synchronous and asynchronous teaching have one thing in common. The need to have organization, structure, as well as quantifiable goals.

Evaluations take many different forms and from students, other instructors combined with other modalities.

Rubrics are helpful for self-examination and they also help the student have a spelled out guide for the paper/project.  Formative and Summative assessments have a slight difference.

The instructor needs to be the guide for the students.  Scaffolding is also a tool that the students need to learn so they can build on knowledge and skills.
