Ensure that you show the students that you are excited about your subject with enthusiasm. Model the way you want them to engage. Managed the classroom and classroom expectations. Motivate them to dive in and become successful!
What I learned from this reading is recognizing the role we hold as instructors, which is to be a role model, manager, and motivator! Having a understanding of what our job is allows us to grow and be the best educators we can be.
Projecting professionalism and being a respectful role model for the students is key in the engagement and comprehension of the material being presented to the students within the classroom environment.

As an educator and leader, I will continue to role model appropriate behaviors like dressing professionally, being on time and ready to start, and show confidence but not be the know it all. Lead by example, start on time, be professional
Students see you as a model of what the field expects of them. Be professional and diligent but approachable, so your students see you as a person. We should constantly be honing our teaching skills to deliver the course material as best as possible.
Inspire and encourage students. Actions speaks louder than words, by being passionate as to why you love/enjoy your nursing profession.
As a new instructor, I am still learning about which style is the most appropriate to fulfill my role with my students. I noticed each class and each student is different and sometimes, therefore, I consider that one of the most important qualities we need to become a great leader is flexibility.

Be a model, manager, and a motivator. The "soft" skills you model will be an important part of what you teach your students; being on time, good hygiene, neatness, being prepared, and getting along with others. Setting goals for yourself and encouraging your students in theirs is important; all of us are always learning and growing.
I appreciate the aspect of being humble, not pretending to be the smartest person in the room. Let your experience and knowledge speak for itself.
That being said, the manage and motivate, I feel are wrong. I learned many years ago, that those two words should not be used. Instead we should seek to lead and inspire.
In this module I learned that being instructor can be done effectively if proper examples are use as well clear communication with student is done correctly.
It is something to be said when you have an instructor that is happy to see you and acknowledge that you are in the classroom. For me, I have been an educator for 28 years and every new group of students is an opportunity to create new connections. When you model like a mentor, they will learn to mentor. Remember you will be spending many hours with your students, and you will get to know them, and they will get to know you. Management takes practice and organization. Motivation also is a hidden gem; you are their cheerleader for success.
