Online learners needs support.  They can feel allienated due to student work load, personal obligations and poor technichal skills.  When they feel allieanated, they may drop and attrition will increase.

Fostering Asynchronus and synchronous learning is established by the instructor knowing his audience.  Dividing the 6 learning styles into the approriate groups.  Try not to allow the competetive, avodiance, or dependant students, not to partner up.  This can cause an uneasy learning environment. 

Try to focus on the collabarative, participating and indepent people to in the asynchronus learning and other 3 to work with the instructor in the synchrosus learning environment.

Remeber to always allow for question befor and after the discussions for feedback

Developing a great relationship with the sudents is extemly important.  Look at thier bio, send them welcome notes the day of class and the 1st week of class.  let them see your precence, authority and that you want to have a relationship with them.

Online teach is only as good as the infrastructure, which includes the instructional support and the technical support. Students need orientation to the CMS system and the instructors need to be fluent on the CMS.  All the content must be available with instructions on dates and time assignment are due.  Navigation of the system must be easy in order to promote a fustration free learning environment

Developing course content is paramount on utilizing the learning styles and Lecture formats.  Allow tour student to utilize reading listening, hands on and seeing videos to help with learning the content

Arrive early, greet evenyone, learn names and go over Syllabus, policies and expectations.

There are several instructional componets, that can make your teaching experience and your students learning experience very gradifying.

Currucula, course , outline,, lesson plan, goal, objectives, resources, syllabus, assessments are all important for teaching and learning.

Make sure the the goals are student directed and student driven.

Early panning is the key to successfull teaching and learning.

In order to teach effectivly you need the 3 M's.  Modeling, managing and motivating.  You must be competent in your feild of knowledge, up to date with your credentials and technical skils and have excellent interpersonal and professional skills.  

Instructors must use diffrent type of learning styles and media in order to have the student learn in class, since outside of class is where most of there learning is accomplished, through application of knowledge.
