I've learned that professionalism is an important aspect of the classroom and must be developed and improved as needed to insure the respect of the students. Showing professionalism will reflect on the students and how they act in the classroom and in the field.

I've learned what professionalism means in the academic environment. I've learned that it is a little more restrictive than we might interact with coworkers who are our friends. I've also learned the expectations for how class should begin.

I learned professionalism is not only how you conduct yourself but also how you dress, mannerisms and lesson plan access. I want an environment where my students can be themselves but in a professional manner to get them ready for the work force.

To be a good instructor we must be prepared daily and be ready to help all students understand the things that will make them great in the real world after school.

What I've learned in this section is that we have to maintain and display professionalism at all times, and to not be our students friends but their support person that is there to offer support and encouragement.

I have learned that it is essential for an instructor to maintain a professional yet supportive relationship with students. While it is important to be approachable and foster trust, the instructor must remain a friend rather than a buddy, ensuring appropriate boundaries are upheld. In the classroom, the instructor assumes multiple roles—including mentor and role model—guiding students not only in academic achievement but also in personal and professional development. By modeling integrity, respect, and dedication, the instructor creates an environment that inspires learners to grow both intellectually and ethically.

As an instructor you have to be lifelong learner and be willing to stay abreast of the content and science that is being taught. I will make it a priority to continue my education and actively participate in professional development activities to increase my skills to be an effective instructor.

Being a model of professionalism is key to show the next generation of leaders that professionalism means that you treat yourself. colleagues, peers, with respect at all times.

What I learned from this is you need to be confident in what your teaching , be punctual, knowledgable. A leader .

What I am learning here is be ready, knowlegable, and enthusiastic

I am learning it’s important to be completely prepared and ready to go before class even comes in

I am learning that i need to be informant, professional and compassi0nate about teaching and creating a wonderful nurses for our society.

I learn to be knowledgeable, compassionate , understanding capacity of each students, and the best way they can benefit me.

I learned that being instructor encompasses being a model, manager, and motivator. Show engagement by giving being prepared to start your day, giving feedback, and show others that there are ways to improve.

That there are three roles you represent as you stand in front of a class as an instructor: Model, Manager, Motivator.  One interesting point I learned from the Harvard Instructor, he stated, "do not show your students how competent you are, do not try to prove to your students that you are the smartest in the class, you will lose them. Convince your students that you love your subject matter, that you care."  It is a given that you are the most competent in the class for your subject matter, however, there will always be someone smarter than you in the class.  Instead, convince them to learn, encourage & motivate, that's how you keep the students in the loop.  I thought that was quite interesting.

From this module, I’ve learned that becoming an effective instructor requires continuous growth, reflection, and adaptability. Developing as an instructor means not only understanding the material but also learning how to connect with different learners and adjust teaching methods to meet their needs. I plan to apply this by regularly evaluating my lessons, seeking feedback from students and peers, and incorporating new strategies that promote engagement and understanding.

I have learned that being a good instructor is more than your knowledge  but multiple different aspects that help define your effect on students.

From this module, I’ve learned how intentional instructional improvement plays a critical role in advancing both teaching effectiveness and learner outcomes. The emphasis on reflective practice, continuous learning, and structured professional development helped me see that great educators don’t just rely on experience; they actively refine their approach through evidence-based strategies and ongoing education.

Through this module, I've learned that effective instruction goes far beyond delivering content; it's about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. I now understand the importance of tailoring teaching strategies to diverse learning styles, using active learning techniques, and maintaining approachability as a key element of classroom culture.

I learned that being an effective instructor starts with professionalism. And that planning and preparation is key for a proper classroom learning experience, and for delivering the course content correctly. I plan to focus on the model, manager, motivator concept from this course.
