Leading a classroom is about more than just giving a block of instruction. Presenting material with enthusiasm from a position of command authority, is not about being overly strict or controlling; it is about setting clear expectations, communicating confidently, and creating a structured learning environment where students understand boundaries and responsibilities.

I learned that the smallest details can influence the direction of our influence. As instructors we have an opportunity to make a difference in all aspects of our student's lives, not just the content portion.

I have learned about the importance of and how to develop a learning and development plan for teaching.  This is critical because teaching is changing quickly with technology and the accessability to knowledge. Education in the classroom is shifting to more of a curator of knowledge and application and developing thinking skills than sharing knowledge and theory.  Having a learning and development plan allows you to keep up with the pace of change and the demands of teaching.

Reinforce professionalism expectations through modeling the behaviors.

Reinforced instructors as role models of professionalism, inside and outside of the classroom and how we engage with them and colleagues.

Being in class early to greet my students them as they arrive, as well as, having my lesson plan and presentation ready to go before I arrive to class is a great way to demonstrate professionalism to my class.

Preparation is definitely the key to becoming the best instructor you can be. You not only use what you learned in the field but what you learned from learning your trade and from whom.

what i took from this , is that taking time to prepare my self by looking at the syllabus to be prepared for the lesson presentation adding on my life experience can also help them evaluate how  i resolved any challenges i've encounter , I also learn that how we precent ourselves is everything showcases professionalism.

I learned from this module that as an instructor there is more than just teaching the content of the courses. The instructor needs to be able to reach the students and ignite their passions to complete their studies. There is a lot more to planning and executing a good class and have it be educational for all students not just a handful of them.

I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this module and learned that there are many valuable resources available for those that are just starting to teach. I was also reminded of the importance of maintaining professionalism and consistently modeling positive behavior for students, as educators play a critical role in setting expectations and creating a respectful learning environment.

I learned that to be a good instructor, you should conduct yourself in a professional manner. Be prepared before class start time as well as being on time yourself. Be in uniform as well maintain yourself in a manner that your students will deliver to there future customers/clients.

Professionalism and basic common courtesy can set the tone for a positive class experience

Professionalism must be demonstrated in and out of the classroom. Instructors should know content very well and also be motivators and managers in class.

I enjoyed the Harvard posts. Enthusiasm and professionalism, along with content knowledge, are the keys.

Being a teacher extends far beyond delivering lessons. Teaching is a professional responsibility that requires consistent integrity, composure, and intentional conduct both inside and outside of the classroom.

Being an instructor is more than just teaching. You are a role model to many students. It brings me joy when my students tell me that they couldn't do it without me. Also when they thank you for being patient and understanding to meet their needs individually.

I agree with Michael, you don't know what you don't know until you begin as an instructor.  I thought I understood but then I became very aware how much I did not know.

I learned that being an instructor is more than just knowing the content.  It involves modeling professionalism, and maintaining control of the learning environment for the students.  This structure will assist in supporting their learning.

I learned that being an instructor I must be able to bring great energy to students, being myself and confident and knowledgeable with my set skill. I control the setting in the classroom while being respectful to my students. prepare ahead of time before class. dress appropriately, be a role model and not a pal. Engage with my students allowing them to feel comfortable with me as their instructor.
