Being a motivating instructor is very important and should incorporate the values of Expertise, Empathy, Enthusiasm and Clarity.  

 

This module was a great reminder about how to REFOCUS about half way through the term and gave some practical examples of how to do this and involve the students in the process.

 

Having fun in class is a key component to keeping your students engaged.

 

Students have intrinsic and extrinsic student needs.  As instructors is it important that we understand both of these things.

 

 

In order to successfully deliver content, it is important to incorporate all of the various learning styles for student engagement.

 

 

It is very important to give students an overview of the class and what to expect, so everyone is on the same page going forward.

 

 

All students have basic human needs of comfort, security and acceptance.

 

 

As an instructor it is important that we model, manage and motivate.
