Reflect on perceived strenths and weaknesses and develop a plan to keep focused on becoming a better instructor.

I took away from this to not get complacent within your area of teaching. Times and technology are always moving forward.  Being able to grow and adapt isn't only a benefit but a must if you want to provide your students the best possible experience

planning and prepping are key and developing as an instructor is vital to success

The tools which can help to be a better instructor are a clear understanding of three roles: Model, Manager, Motivator, and three Competencies: Technical, Professional, and Personal.

As instructors we must lead by example, create and maintain a positive role and environment and apply the 5-C's:

Credible, Candid, Compassionate, Committed and Clear.

Always be humble with your students and never act like smartest person in the room. The more relatable you are the more students will listen to you.

As an Instructor I need to lead by exampl. Set the standard for professionalism. You should be excited about your subject and project that to your student.

To become a great leader we have to fist lead by example and second contiune growth

It is very important tostay current in your content area.  Equally as important to create an instructionalptofessionaldevelopmeny.

I love people and I think as a new instructor I could easily fall into the trap of being "the pal", so that was much needed advice.

The key to being a successful instructor is continuing education.

Hello,

The Effectice Teaching Stratagies for Career Collegee Instructors is an excellent course. The course reminded me of what it takes to be an effective instructor by making sure that I am credible, compassionate, candid, committed, and clear. This practice will engage students and help them to achieve established goals and objectives.

A instructor should be confident  and display professionalim,he should presented the lesson effictively and efficiently. The instructor shoud build  a rapport with students.

I joined the professional organization called Association for Talent Development (ATD).  They are the industry leader for instructional designers to further their professional development.  I have not paid too much attention to all the information they put out, but I will now start to look at that material more closely now.

Purposeful prior planning prevents poor performance, be true to yourself as an instructor and true to your students, and lead by example.

Be up to date and continue your education in your fields

The main concept I have learned from this course is that I, as an instructor is a model. Students will take an immediate first impression of me and make a decision if this is someone I aim to model. My professional appearance, timeliness, organization and overall engagement will create an atmosphere of trust or distrust.  Another takeaway from this course if the ongoing education of knowledge, continuing education courses and studies/concepts of teaching will pose a major impact on my successs.

I have learned the importance of becoming a role model for my students, and how to come up with a professional development plan to offer quality instruction. I have created a plan and planning to complete it to become proficient in a variety of areas where I need to grow more. Also, I am planning to project myself professionally.

How to be a good model and a motivator is an important aspect of adult teaching.

To lead by example, always be professional, and to strive to better yourself as an instructor
