A nurse educator must be a change agent who can lead and transform student's lives and have the ability to mentor and inspire others.
The five C's of instructors are all important. These to attributes in combination with enthusiasm and passion will serve you well as an educator.

All of these responses are great advice. I can echo that the 5 C's and the model, manage, motivate headings resonated with me. We have to model the behaviors, language, and professionalism we wish to see in our students. Once they know that we care about them and are passionate about them learning the subject we teach, then we can really provide quality education.
Make a plan for my own development. Review the areas I need to work on and seek education to gain the knowledge needed.
My personal takeaway is to practice being more engaging and display the passion I have for my particular field.
Do not try to impress your classroom by being the smartest in room. Show you are passionate.

The way I present myself both physically and mentally has an impact on the students. Being prepared and knowledgeable also presenting myself professionally will let the students know I am credible and competent to teach. Being willing to always further my own education is key.
