Knowledge of the online content

This first sections establishes the basic consideration an instrutor must take before instructing

I think that with on line learning you must have more suporrt.more than ever so that they feel like if they get lost that they can catch back up.

Given the same goals for a course, different instructors are likely to take different approaches to teach towards those goals.

I have learned the CMS management system, review class rosters as well as view student profiles . find out about turnaround times for student inquiries. conditions underwhich you can grant extensions. find a expert in technology and software mulfunctions .instrructional straties.

I will better familiarize myself with the CMS to provie the best education and support possible for students in an online environment

Understanding the student needs and embracing the CMS

It is important for students and the instructors to have a complete cycle of communication for a course to be successful. As I add online teaching to my repertoire, I have to ensure that communication is easy and open. I must understand if students have questions or need additional support. I should be able to provide that support or know who can.

This was definitely helpful. Understanding what goes into a face to face course, and an online course and the difference is very important. The interaction with the students must be more - blogs, email, video and/or phone chats; these are all important tools in the virtual world to assist the students.

I haven't learned anything new as this is a platform I have been using in my classes for some time.

I learned that we have to even more organised and structure our lessons in a logical way where students can access the contents and online activities easily. Teachers should be familiarised with te online learning environment and technology in order to maximise learning and teaching online.

Reviewing the course and expectations with students on day 1 is paramount. Also ensuring they can navigate it, this will change if you only have returning students, only new or a mix.

Being prpared and knowing your subject

Being prpared and knowing your subject

I intend to make sure I am familiar with CMS and how to keep my students feeling comfortable and willing to learn in this environment

quite a challenge

I learned more about the learning management system and the importance of familiarizing ourselves with the system as the students view it.

For an instructor to succeed in delivering the materials corrcectly, knowledge and understandkng of all aspects of the platform is a must.

Familiarize wit CMS learn to notice student frustration and importance of tech support

In an E-learning environment there are many items to consider: goals of the course, learning, and course degrees. I plan on trying to keep the lines of communication open. I also plan to reinforce rules for virtual learning. I plan to be firm but compassionate. I realize we are all new to virtual learning.
