Students learn by trial and error and by observation and by doing.

I love using interactive teaching strategies, rather than just a PP lecture, it really helps with keeping students engaged and studies have shown it helps with retention of information.

Unfortunately, I am required to lecture, but I will attempt to use many examples and tell stories to try to keep people engaged.

using a variety of teaching styles better ensures the instructor's ability to reach all students. lesson and academic planning is also crucial to the educator's success

Vary the teaching style and remember humans can only retain between 5-7 new concepts at once

Presenting to the students in a genuine way and using the various learning styles will bring about a classroom experience that has memories and application.

I learned that I must select deliveries that will enable the students to learn the materials and demonstrate mastery, while enjoying the process to the maximum extent possible.

set up your students for success by creating clear goals and expressing course material correctly

It’s important to lecture with learning style in mind. I appreciate how this course covered and demonstrating keep it to 5 to 7 steps for students.

Knowing your subject matter and being ready is very important

Got to make sure I have alternative Demos or regrouping methods when a demo doesn't work.

There are multiple ways to learn; it's important to teach in varied ways, using different methods to engage all types of learners.

Preparation before the class starts is the key to a successful lecture. limiting the lecture to 10-15 minutes is good as well

I believe that when delivering course content it is important that we inform students of what is to come as well as what is expected from them. In that way they are able to prepare them for content to be aware of during the lecture/demonstration.

Developing a lesson plan that creates a successful outcome in the classroom. Utilizing a variety of delivery methods to give my lecture a more focused driven approach.

It is nice knowing that there can be too much information or not enough information in a certain amount of time. Spacing out the information and getting it through using different methods seems to be a good thing. Also always being prepared is best to practice in case of failure during demonstrations.

I need to start practicing my lesson plan more often and utilizing the different delivery methods

It was very interesting to learn the various limitations that people have with certain instructional delivery plans.  For example, only remembering 25% of what you hear.  It is important to create plans with multiple forms of delivery to increase retention and reach a variety of learning styles.  I also enjoyed the video on learning that highlights the importance of students learning something about themselves as a means to motivate them.

It is important to keep students interested. You can do this by changing up teaching styles to meet individual learning needs. It is also important to practice demonstrations ahead of time, interact with the students during the demonstration and reflect at the end of class to see how the demonstration helped and how it could be improved.

Remembering that we only have a 10 to 18 min. attention span and the ability to comprehend 5 to 7 items and after that the retention rate starts to drop dramatically.
