I learned that email is the best way to communicate with on-line students. Keep in touch with them regularly to provide assistance, encouragement and progress updates. Some students wll try to challenge you in order to obtain a higher score on their coursework.

Initiating an asynchronous discussion post allows students to post at their leisure and exchange information with other students in the class.

This module taught how important it is to create a relationship with your students. Share your nursing experience and question the class individually to obtain information about each student.

Time must be given to learn the learning style of my students. Online communication is just s or more important than the classroom setting. Students must be able to contact me so posting announcements and classroom hours are very important.

Create a lesson plan that will include various learning styles and review at the end of class to ensure the students understood the content presented.

I like the ideal of having students write their names on a card which is folded into a tent and placed in from to them; along with creating a seating chart to assist me in learning each student's name.

Arriving early to your class allows time to ensure you are prepared to meet the students, interact with everyone and keep a note pad to ensure nothing is missed and questions are answered at the end of class.

I have learned to introduce myself to students and remain professional at all times.
