Learning about course objectives and syllabus development.

A syllabus can be useful in planning every aspect of your instruction. Update it often.

Proper preparation will make your presentation go much smoother and will help you deal with the unexpected.

Why the information in a syllabus is important to the student, what it contains, and how it serves as a contract between the instructor and the students. Steps to being prepared and early planning include keeping a notepad to keep up with things that require attention later so you can focus on the students and course teaching.

It makes easier to plan ahead of the class. I try to have planned approximate time I will spend on each objectives and time students need to spend on group assignments.

As a teacher you must carefully develop a well rounded curriculum that contains: objectives, goals, curriculum, and a syllabus.

How important a syllabus is because it sets the climate for the class.  It should include things like class policies and assignments.

It is a way to organize the class and should include relevant information about the course.

Its best to prepare the students and notify of what is expected of them. This allows the student to put forth their maximum effort and pass the course.

The importance of being prepared as an instructor has a huge impact on the success of your students.

From this module, I've learned how important it is to plan well before teaching a class. I'll use what I've learned by making sure I'm ready for each class with clear goals and materials.

I learned preparation is key, practice leads you closer to where you want your class to be as far as structure, teaching and learning all around. putting this steps in practice from start to finish will lead me to becoming a better Teacher/Instructor everyday for the students.

I have better grasp the importance of developing a know how teaching method. Having something as simple as a sheet of paper with notes in hand will guide you to a better and more structure class.

Plan ahead and be prepared

All communication should be clear and concise so the student has a better idea of what they should expect from you as an instructor, as well as what they can expect to learn and gain from the course.

Having a roadmap, setting targets, ensuring you have resources to meet those targets, sequence of instruction, activity, and practice. Reflection on what was done. Review, make tweaks.  Rinse, wash, and repeat.

Be flexible, adaptible, and approachable in working with peers and students. Actively engaging and listening. Move, interact, be involved.

Take notes, because it was not documented, it didn't happen, and it can be a great reminder for you and the person you're talking to as to what was discussed and possible solutions to what was needed.

Jotting down notes soon after or during a discussion with a student will be more effective. The chances of you forgetting something at the end of a long day is minimizing.

Being prepared is key!

I loved the advice to come early and engage the students with the content they've gone through on their and see if they have an understanding of the material.

I can see that being early and prepared makes life a lot easier.

Continuous feedback from students by observing their facial expressions and getting feedback on their understanding. Keep lecture to 10 minutes, break, do and interactive activity and back to lecture to keep students engaged in the subject.  Also holding myself to the same standards that I do my students.
