In this course I have learned the importance of recognizing each student's needs, their attention level and their dedication to the class. It is important to include them in on ways to make the class interesting as well as what to do in the event of boredom. I plan to observe each student individually to monitor their actions and body language.

I have learned that being clear and upfront of students expectations in the beginning can eliminate confusion as well as nervousness when starting a course. It is also a good idea to learn what the students expectations are of myself as an instructor. Very good course information presented here.

An important concept I have learned in this course is the importance of a thouroughly outlined and detailed Syllabus. This provides the student with a more broad and extended range of reception and sets the student up for success in gaining knowledge in the information presented.

The main concept I have learned from this course is that I, as an instructor is a model. Students will take an immediate first impression of me and make a decision if this is someone I aim to model. My professional appearance, timeliness, organization and overall engagement will create an atmosphere of trust or distrust.  Another takeaway from this course if the ongoing education of knowledge, continuing education courses and studies/concepts of teaching will pose a major impact on my successs.
