Producing a syllabus with guidelines, objectives, and classroom requirements will prepare the class for what is expected during the course
Preparing for a lesson, wether it's daily, weekly, or quarterly, shows effictiveness of being a leader.
Having a checklist and notepad ca be very beneficial.
In this module I have learned the importance of being prepared for class and establishing clear expectations with students. I will use this lesson to prepare for classes with lists and using clear goals for students
Be prepared. Prior planning prevents poor performance!
Always coming to class prepared and following the course checklist to ensure that all viable data is uploaded and ready.
Planning and being prepared is extremely important.
Be prepared before. students arrive. make sure as an instructor! you are ready. to start the lesson for the day
make students feel comfortable and stress free.
Preparation continues throughout the entire class
Comment on Justin Markle's post: I feel that it is important to be prepared, and have a checklist. I would also have a notepad during class to note things as they arise. (Maybe make a seating chart with names to help remember students.
Planning and preparation for a course involves a lot of work on the front end to ensure success on the back end. One thing that I plan on continuing is always having a notepad on me with checklists (which is something that I've done since H.S.)
Having a detailed syllabus helps set students' expectations. Have a note pad handy to take notes of conversations.
Creating a plan/road map for objectives is essential to maximize student learning. I feel that I have a small amount of time to impart a great amount of information. When I am focused on the learning objectives and come to class with my outline/checklist, I am able to successfully stay on task and get students back to the learning goals of that day regardless of distractions. I am a Culinary Educator and we call this mise en place, or everything in it's place. It's our mantra and way of organizing and planning our physical and mental work/tasks/objectives for the day.
I also appreciated the reminder to develop syllabi and other materials, and the learning environment, with the student perspective in mind; making it the most clear, direct and conducive to the learning process.
Planning and Preparation is an important part of instruction to ensure organization and ensure that all topics are covered.
Clear and defined goals and objectives
Keeping a digital notepad would be helpful.
It's important to have a good outlined syllabus! to arrive early and be prepared and always have a notepad handy.
Be to class early and know your students and be prepared daily.
