About me

I have been in nursing and education since graduating from a diploma program in 1978.  Years later, I completed my BSN and finally, my MSN.  My primary focus has been critical care, onboarding new hires, and professional development.  I have a passion for sharing my vast knowledge with others and helping them to become successful nursing professionals.

Skills

test writing, case study development, mentoring and coaching

Activity

The use of a name tent is very helpful in learning student names.  Be willing to share a bit about yourself at the beginning of the class.

Being prepared for class involves a well developed syllabus, a room that is ready for the students and knowing your material.  This sets the tone for the students and makes it easier to hold them accountable.

It is important to be a role model inside and outside of the classroom.  Being prepared for each class sets the tone for the students.
