I will have to work on grouping my lecture into segments of 15-20 minutes.  It is a good idea to insert discussions or an activity in between topics to give students a bit of a 'brain break' and to also implement varied teaching styles.

I like to have my collegiate students decorate name cards for their desks.  Just a fun little activity to get them to relax and for me as the instructor to get to know each student. I decorate one as well so that they view me a bit less intimidating as well.

I am beginning my second term this week and I can appreciate the reassurance that I am doing well in my efforts to maintain organization while preparing for my courses.  I do keep a notebook where I take notes on things I need to improve or research more so that I am better prepared for future students.  I record students feedback and encourage real time feedback from my students about what they would like to see implemented in the curriculum.  I write myself notes all the time about various things and make checklists to prepare for upcoming class sessions.
