Activity

We as instructors must be prepared and come in competent subject matter experts. Additionally, we must first do the job poorly so we can grow to doing the job well.

All students must engage in their learning or things must be adjusted to fit them. Angry students must still engage like the rest to learn but in the end, if a student is destroying the learning environment, action must be taken.

I learned that students should be acknoledged at all levels to underscore their mental status and keep them engaged. When one has adult learners though, I am not certain that color coded cards are what is needed. They would probably throw them in the trash.

Let students know what the expectations are for the class and stand on the rules without bending. Students must know where the lines are and what happens when goals and requirements are not met.

I have learned that the tests should evaluate different skills and objectives. Though I have no control over my tests, I may introduce polling via virtual experience to enhance the class situation.

There is a need to evaluate the student's general knowledge through open discourse and questioning that will eventually allow the instructor to teach according to the level of the individuals intelligence.

By eliminating certain aspects of the discussion, we can focus or drill down on more specific topics and answers that will push students to stay relative and limit confusion.

learning styles are all different among students from young to older. build confidence in your students by uplifting and empowering their participation.

Student success is largely on the instructor. It is critical to apply knowledge based, tactical instruction that engages all learners at their level and doing this correctly means knowing your students.

Engaged and focused with a touch of refocus when necessary. Its always been about keeping the students engaged and on task. This has been the reminder of that.
