Teaching isn’t a monologue from someone who ‘knows it all.’ It’s a shared symphony: it demands preparation, professionalism, empathy—and above all, collaboration. As facilitators, we are living examples of who we want our students to become.
This lesson was a well-needed reminder that teaching is a collaborative effort, not just one experienced individual talking AT a class. A learning environment has to be created, and that can be done by applying said teaching strategies and practicing professionalism.
Instruction of our students begins with preparation, professionalism, and empathy. I myself had been an adult learner, so I can relate to this population of students. I look forward to the journey of encouraging our young and adult students as we learn together.
