Being an effective educator, it is vital to know your students' background .  They will be able to better relate to the instructor if they share their story with students.

In this module,I have learned that being present, supportive and relatable encourages students to open up to learning. I also realize that sharing professional experiences can help students connect theory to practice and feel more engaged in the learning process.

I learned that even with distance education you should build relationships and get to know your students, so that it will help them navigate better through the courses. The will be more open to reach out and engage more if they feel like they have that relationship with you without being in person.

I learned ways to project my presence and build relationships with my students online.

Creating and posting a short bio about your experience, expertise, and credentials helps to earn your students' respect, helps their confidence in your knowledge of the subject matter and helps them feel more comfortable. Also, maintaining a strong presence and authority online helps to maintain the online class in order.

In distance education, it is important to develop a rapport with each student individually. I plan to have the students submit a short bio, as suggested, which will help with my approach.

Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all students. Leaving a video announcement would help as they would know who the instructor is, asides to just a name

Forming relationships with each and every student can go a long way for their potential as students.

I learned that even when at a distance, it is essential to maintain a professional demeanor.

Check on students and provide valuable feedback to students

That getting to  know about a student and a student getting to know you ,will help in open up a conversation and have a better relation.

I feel it’s important that they know a little bit about you and what your expertise are and  that they are engaging with one another on different topics.

In this module I learned that in order for a student to be able to identify the teacher/instructor is knowledgeable in their area of expertise, it is essential to post a brief biography of themselves. This is essential as it can build a strong relationship with them.

It is important that your students know that you have the expertise in the topic you are teaching by providing them with your education and achievements in the profession through announcements and communications with students.

Using discussion posts to further integrate your students with each other will help create a sense of security in their learning, as well as develop a sense of security in you as an instructor for facilitating safe spaces for them to address their grasp of material.
