In this module I learned more about different learning styles to meet both the students needs and instructor's expectations.

It was nice to learn about the advantages and disadvantages for synchronous and asynchronous discussions. Instructors should allow their students to provide feedback about what they're learning and be open to suggestions.

I like the idea of engaging with students within their discussion board assignments. It shows them that you're actively supportive of their suggestions and opinions.

I learned that frequent interaction with students can significantly enhance learning by increasing student engagement, improving information retention and developing key skills.

A variety of teaching methods can capture students attention and make learning more dynamic. Active learning and application of knowledge lead to better retention, comprehension, adaptability and collaboration skills.

What I took from this module is that Ice Breakers for students can help create a more comfortable and engaging environment. It's good to encourage students to share their aspirations and goals.

Being a prepared instructor involves thorough planning and execution. Effective preparation minimizes classroom management issues and fosters a positive learning environment for all.

I could relate to the point of not making students feel as though I'm the smartest in the room as there's always someone smarter and more knowledgeable. Just because Instructors have the experience doesn't make them superior to others in the classroom setting. There are times where most stand corrected and students take the lead. I want my students to be open to suggestions of all sorts and receptive of feedback when applicable.

No two students learn or retain information the same. This lesson has given insight on how to engage with our students using various methods of learning (visual, on-line activities, group discussions, peer-to-peer sessions, etc).

This lesson has given me a clearer aspect on how to convert traditional learners into modern learners. I've come to realize that majority of the students are used to having the answers given to them without doing much leg work so by engaging them with online activities such as Quizlet or Kahoot, not only are they actively learning, they're engaging with their fellow classmates and more open to class discussions, participation and retain the information they're learning.
