This module helped me with different techniques to manage student struggling in the course

This module helped me consider ways to better engage students in the asynchronous classroom. I consider if breaking the glass up into small groups to engage in the discussions would be beneficial, and even possible. I do feel I need to do a better job using techniques such as bold colors and Emojis to help convey what I cannot otherwise through nonverbal communication.

This module had me consider additional ways to connect with students, specifically those that live close together. Although I know that is not a common it did present an idea for me. Offering workgroups outside of course hours may be away to engage with small groups of students at different times throughout the week. These would not replace office hours.

Setting expectation is a critical part of online teaching. Understanding the importance of the timeline of the content helps improve a student's comprehension of the material.
