Emailing student to stay in communication is a key way to keep them engaged, follow up and even sometimes reprimand or discuss behavioral problems as well .  Great way to keep record of conversations where you have  record of steps taken toward their education 

I’ve learned that feedback to my students either verbally messaging  is key in keeping engagement  with my students .  

Sharing a short mixture of  Professional and personal bio of yourself (with Head Shot included)  helps to connect with students
