It is important to have clear expectations and guidelines. Communication withthe students is key to success.

In an e-learning envionment, it is very imporant for students to be able to access the online information.  Actionable feedback is important to keep students engaged and focused.

I will stay positive and focus on feedback with students.

As an on-line instructor it is importatnt to be familiar with all aspects of course delivery, discussion forums, student rosters, quiz delivery, and grade books. By becoming proficient with the CMS instructors will be able to deliver content to students that is engaging.

This is an interesting extension of the teaching that commonly occurs in the standard classroom setting.  This orientation has been very helpful; the key is preparing by understanding the platform and by understanding effective, best practices within this platform.

I think I have a fairly robust online course delivery system. However, I need to incorporate glossaries and in my start up slide presentation, also have navigating the course, grading policies, etc. I think I will do that as a video, instead of a PowerPoint.

To make sure you familiriaze yourself with all the CMS for you as well as the students.

This module reinforced some areas I knew where important and why.  One important item discussed in the module was responding to students in a timely matter and grading submissions quickly as this makes students feel there is someone actively involved in the course with them.

I learned that there are many ways to get the information across to my students and I also learned that these are some of the qualitys that i should look for in on line courses Structural integrity, Navigational simplicity, Intellectual interaction, Active learner-centered learning.

I will familiarize myself with our CMS, so that I am better able to utilize it to help my students learn.

Although I have taken the orientation to the program we use, I had forgotten so many details. In any given day we have many, many responsibilities so it is understandable to feel the need to review the orientation video or content again from time to time,  or as often as needed.

In short, an outline of the online learning format through th ecourse management system.

Preparation, preparation, and preparation.

and, of course timely course management, and response to students.

Take your time developing coursework. Set clear and unambiguous objectives. Make certain that all participants have an unfettered opportunity to acheive success.

Course preparation is key.

The instructor on the course is somewhat responsible to make the students feel comfortable with navigating the online course, which may require to add a little time to the beginning of the course for orientation. The more comfortable a student feels using the course will reflect on their participation.

Seems that the Preparation for e-learnig couses is more inportant or should I say more necessary that a triditional class enviroment where one thing can lead to another,

Take a complete control of all students assignments.

provide a easy way to students to engage to specific topic .

I agree with the statement that we have to make sure that our students are familiar with the CMS. As a muddle school teacher I see a lot of my colleagues assuming that the students  know how to do everything on the compute. But in reality they  really do not. If I want my students engaged and responsive learners I must make sure they are comfortable with the system and then trust me to know I am there to support them.

my ability to understand and nagvigate the cms will better my delivery with e-learning.

I have learned what it takes to have a successful online learning experience. I plan on using this for the online course I will be teaching this coming fall.
