I've learned about the different marketing tools and regulations in place to ensure the institution is following the regulations.
In this module, I learned that the catalog is a legally binding document that provides essential information about an institution’s programs, policies, tuition, fees, and services. It must be current, clear, and accessible, as students rely on it when making enrollment decisions. I also gained a better understanding of how catalog disclosures must include all required elements, such as program duration, credential awarded, licensure requirements, and total cost.
I learned that there's different ways that school advertise and, it is important to know what advertisement method your specific school uses.
Learned the importance of learning your institutions programs, student services, and marketing practices. It is important to collaborate with departments and provide clear information to the student to help with their decision making with the school and program.
I learned that it is important to know about your institution, so you can know important answers for the questions that potential students may ask about during the admission's process. Reading the resource manuals, meeting and talking to the educational staff about their programs is prime, so you can enhance your knowledge and be aware of any changes or important information about the programs that potential student may ask during the enrollment progress.
Understanding the curriculum, policies, and outcomes of each program is key to providing accurate information to prospective students. I learned that compliance is not just about avoiding mistakes, but about building trust. I plan to apply this by staying informed, asking questions when in doubt, and always referring to the official catalog and guidelines.
It is important to know about different aspects of the school's curriculum and classes to better explain to new students what is offered. Schools may employ different ways to market the school as long as it follows the guidelines.
I learned that all marketing plan and practices doesn't have to be the same, as long as all institutions must follow the Fair Consumer Practices and their budgets.
From this module I learned the various marketing strategies and the importance of knowing them.
While each institution may have their own marketing plan and practices, all institutions must follow the Fair Consumer Practices. Also, in order to help students understand more about what it is like to attend an instution, it is important for Admissions Staff to have a full working knowledge of all aspects of the school.
I have learned how important it is to understand each program you offer and the different types of marketing. What you market needs to be clear and concise.
Fair Consumer practice is very strict on how we do advertisement . we must follow the rules.

Each institution varies, it is essential to understand each section.
Each institution is unique in their offerings however, all institutions have guidelines they must follow.
This module emphasized the importance of understanding and complying with the rules around advertising and promotional literature, as outlined in Subsection 6E-1.0032 (4), F.A.C., Fair Consumer Practices. I now better understand that all advertising—whether print, digital, or verbal—must be accurate, transparent, and in alignment with our institution's approved messaging.
Going forward, I will ensure that any information I share with prospective students reflects what is presented in our official marketing materials. I’ll also review the institution’s marketing plan and ask for samples of advertisements so that I’m fully aware of what messaging is being used to attract students. If anything seems unclear or inconsistent, I’ll promptly consult with my supervisor for clarification.
This training reinforced the importance of ethical communication in building trust with prospective students and maintaining the integrity of our institution.
Best way to learn about the institute is to read the catalog, talk with personnel in the education department, sit in on classes, and talk to the placement department to learn where grads work.
