Just like everythign in life it is all about not just communicating but over communication.
What i've learned from this topic is the various ways to interact with someone and how to interact with them correctly.
There are many ways in which I can effectively lead/guide my class so my students can get the most out of it. I have learned that being conversant with the modules of the course and giving clear and precise instructions at the begining of the session, on what is expected of the students sets the tone on how students approach the course. having clarity of the the expectation and beingable to use all available ways to communicate and engage the students leads to a succesful instructional process for my courses.
The structure of learning online is based on the knowledge an instructor has, makes it easier and comfortabe for students if the instructor knows its way around the course
Like with any relationship, communication is key. This includes body language, tone of voice, and of course words.
In the online environment, since there will not be an instructor F2F to ask questions, I should anticipate quaestions and address them before they arise. All the more that it is important that my CMS should be well organized and complete.
It is good to always question the techniques and strategies of online learning from the perspective of the student. There are more and growing technologies and tactics which can be used in the virtual classroom, and it is beneficial to consistently search for better activities with better supports. Knowing and guiding the different communications is key to having a positive classroom environment.
I will use what I have leaerned while conducting daily business.
To ensure that students have the greatest chance for success, I must understand my learning platform in sereveral different ways. I also may have to communicate more with students with annoucements, email, and through video resources in order to ensure student's not feel isolated or on their own when it comes to learning the material and working through assignements.
I have learned many things, one of which is that there are many aspects to online courses that make them unique, similar to classroom instruction preparation. Having a detailed schedule as well as a checklist would be helpful to ensure the completion of all aspects of online class prep. Utilizing the course management system to its fullest and making the most of the active learner-centered learning will keep students engaged and thereby increase retention. I also have a list of all the items I need to master.
As an online instructor, we are required to have technocial knowledage of all aspects of the course, in order to assist the online ability for the students success.

What I learned, and how I intended to apply it.
I learned that to be the facilitator of the online courses I must understand the expectations of the course, even though I may not be an expert on that subject. The online teacher is the one presenting the materials the students need, I must understand how to access the materials need to support the students in the online class, whether it be guiding reading notes, resenting quizzes, or reviewing.
As a online instrutor, it is very important to teat it like you are in front of the student

Its essential that as the instruction I have a from grasp on "Where we are going?" as a class as well as "How are we going to get there?". Its also important that as an instructor I'm providing high quality content as well as getting the class actively engaged in the learning process. The more I'm able to do this, the better the students will effectively absorb what is being presented.
As an instructor with fully online students, I have to use great communication skills and find a way to effectively teach my students what they need to know.
Students are more comfortable and engaged when they have the support of their instructor
