Assessments/evaluations allows for the instructor to confirm that information is being retained. If not, adjustments can be made.
Assessment is important in the educational process. Formative and summative assessments both have their places in the classroom. Instructors should continually be using formative assessments to measure student learning and to adapt instruction to meet students' needs.

If students don't learn soft skills that are relevant to maintain a career being on time, getting along with co-workers communicating with workers, clients and patients then the institution has failed that student. Major skills that are taught include critical thinking, writing, communication, problem solving , ethnical reasoning and values and attitudes and areas must be assessed for understanding.
Don't overcomplicate it. Pre-test...content....post-test. This will give you and the students the ability to analyze what they learned and did not learn.
Classroom assessment activities seem to be a useful means to help both students and instructors assess the comprehension of the material.
From this module, I’ve learned that student learning assessment is more than just assigning grades—it’s about understanding how effectively students are learning and how instruction can be improved. Assessments help identify strengths, areas needing support, and whether learning objectives are being met. I plan to apply this by using a mix of formative assessments, such as quizzes and class discussions, along with summative evaluations to track progress and adjust my teaching methods to better support each student’s learning journey.
When students are not asking questions, asking them questions can show their understanding on a subject matter.
Allowing the students to write a question on a piece of paper and hand it in anonymously will greatly assist the students who are to shy to ask a question and using Cats.

I need to use a variety of assessment methods so that I can accurately assess my students so that they all have a chance to learn and understand material provided and they are assessed using different approaches. I also need to ensure that all students have oral communication and writing skills so that they can succeed in their career.
The importance of rubric for evaluations that are used in all classes, will set up the students to really understand what we are looking for to grade their assessments.
CAT is something I will have to dig a littler deeper into because it seems to be something that could change the course of some students
Comment on Michael Parrott's post: I also liked the it went over Blooms's Taxonomy, describing skills and how to apply
Having knowledge of how the students use their comprehensive skills can help me support them, by outline, graphic organizers and study guides
This chapter help me get a better understanding of how to be more assertive and still remain being professional. though their are a few that wish to press the threshold of verbal understanding such as talking while teacher is and redirecting the class back on track.
This module helped me better understand the importance of using both formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and growth. I also learned how Bloom’s Taxonomy provides a clear framework for designing lessons that move students from basic knowledge to higher-order thinking.
The Benefits of Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is the process of analyzing information without bias to form sound judgments and make informed decisions. It involves questioning expectations, evaluating evidence, and considering multiple perspectives to solve problems and avoid errors in reasoning. This skill is crucial for academic and professional success, as well as personal growth, and leads to better decision-making, problem-solving, and creativity.
Administering the proper form of evaluation will help more effectively assess student comprehension.
Identifying the abilities of the students define the method of testing , best suits for them .
Evaluations allow the students to demonstrate their understanding of the subject. This can be helpful to teachers for them to adjust their approach to be most effective in their instruction.
