One thing I learned from this module was the use of TeacherTube as an educational resource to support teaching and student learning. I also reflected on how I currently use Google tools, such as Google NotebookLM, to convert my PowerPoints into podcast-style reviews for students, which helps support different learning styles and allows students to review material more flexibly. I plan to continue exploring these types of technologies to make learning more engaging, accessible, and interactive for my students.

This module helped me better understand how collaborative media can improve communication, teamwork, and student engagement in both online and blended learning environments. I also liked learning about the idea of using blogs as a way for students to share ideas, reflect on learning, and communicate with others in a more interactive format. Since I use Zoom every day, I plan to continue using collaborative tools like Zoom and blogs to encourage participation and create a more engaging learning environment for my students.

This module helped me understand the importance of effectively managing, sharing, and organizing information in both educational and professional settings. I learned that strong information management is essential for communication, collaboration, productivity, and maintaining accurate records. Proper organization also helps reduce confusion, improve efficiency, and ensure that important information is easy to access when needed.

Organizing files into clearly labeled folders, using shared documents, maintaining version control, and storing information securely are all important practices. I also learned that sharing… >>>

This module helped me understand how different teaching and management styles affect student learning, motivation, and classroom behavior. I learned that the most effective instructors balance organization, communication, and student support while still maintaining clear expectations. I plan to apply this by crating a positive and professional learning environment where students feel supported, engaged, and motivated to succeed.

Important student learning assessments I can use in class include formative strategies such as exit tickets, think-pair-share discussions, quick quizzes, and case-based questioning to check for understanding in real time. These assessments allow me to identify misconceptions early, adjust my instruction immediately, and support students before moving on to more complex material.

I learned that effective questioning requires moving beyond simple recall questions to promote deeper thinking and application of knowledge. I see the importance of wait time, as allowing students a few extra seconds to think improves both participation and the quality of responses. Creating a safe space where students feel comfortable sharing ideas and making mistakes is essential for meaningful engagement and learning.

Combining multiple instructional strategies enhances learning by engaging diverse cognitive processes, accommodating varied learner needs, increasing engagement, and strengthening knowledge retention. A blended approach promotes understanding and improved academic performance compared to single-method instruction.
