You have to care about your students both academically and personally

There's always that one student and it's usually the one I like best because they actively participate, but then you can't stop them.  Everyone needs an even opportunity to get attention

Versatility is key, be open to new ideas and creative in methods

Take time to learn how each students learn it will keep you learning new methods of teaching

Story telling can work wonders if instructor is creative

Get to know how your students learn, be creative, and lastly have respect for each

 A positive attitude will take you a long way. Think of a solution using critical thinking before proposing a problem

Honing in on better soft skills can be very  useful

Not only expect students to do as you say, but set the standards
