After reading this section, I was jotting down ideas to do with class in our next term and a couple of ideas for this term. It definitely got my creative juices going, in order to achieve the ultimate goal to make the instruction more palatable and meaningful.

Knowing learning styles will help you as an instructor will help you to understand how your students learn.  You can then apply the appropriate teaching strategies based on their strengths.

find out what the learners like or how they learn best. then, teach them the way they best learn as much as possible.

Very interesting to learn about the different learning styles of my students. This in turn will help me to improve my teaching techniques to reach all the students were they are.

I am flirting with the idea of testing my students for their learning style and maybe having them wear a tag that designates it so I can know as I'm teaching which ones they have.

The information is a good reminder of how to utilize information for each learning style

Knowing the learning styles will help me reach all students.

Basically, there are four major learning style areas i.e. auditory, written, visual, and kinesthetic, and we are asked to apply all four learning styles in our lessons so that students can be introduced to a variety of learning styles.

Blending auditory, written, visual, and kinesthetic (tactile) learning styles into instruction offers the best opportunity to effectively transmit your message to 100% of your students.

Having a questionnaire at the beginning of the course on their preferred learning styles can be helpful. I, myself have discovered that I am a hands on for retaining the process of doing a certain job.

I plan to ask our employer to ask new student nurses to complete a learning style questionnaire prior to beginning classes--this will help to identify learning style in a class prior to beginning their education.  Also, I will keep the learning styles in mind when deciding on which learning activities to do along with prescribed curriculum lectures.

When considering the different learning styles, this lesson has given me new ideas to effectively serve the entire class.  In order to reach the ENTIRE class, my selection of learning modals must vary.

Best practice is to assess the different learning styles with students and adjust accordingly.  However, learning occurs best if you expose your students to all the different learning styles over time.

I have tried to use multiple learning styles but I like the idea of taking it a step further and having my students complete a learning style assessment. I think I might implement that.

For best results incorporate all 4 learning learning methods, visual, auditory, verbal and kinesthetic into a lecture. Be creative when creating assignments, tests and power points.

Knowing your learner is important to determine how you will provide delivery of the topic that is being taught. This will make you teachings more effective and efficient. Giving the learners an easier way for them to learn, and reducing any frustrations or negative learning.

As instructors, we often tailor our lessons/lectures to our learning style as was said in the material.  Sometimes this may be out of ease, forgetfulness, or even time constraints.  I know that when I tailor the lesson/lecture to the majority of my student's learning styles, they are more successful.  I find that switching up how you present material is important so the learner can also become more flexible in the different ways of learning.  I believe having the learner be an active part of the lesson/lecture is vital as well.

I have learned that it's important to pay attention to students' learning styles or preferences so they are able to learn more effectively.  This means providing information in a variety of formats and including activities that students can apply concepts to.  This creats a real-world experience which engages the learner to retain and process information efficiently.

That we all have a different way of learning and that we can successfully try other techniques.

By recognizing and addressing the diverse learning styles in my classroom, I can customize lectures and projects to cater to these varying approaches. This ensures that every student is effectively absorbing the material and progressing in their understanding of the subject matter being taught.
