I plan to use more diverse questions when assessing students as each type of format has its uniqueness to engaging the students and checking their understanding.

Being careful not to assume that quite means there is understanding from the students.

It was great learning that it is a good thing to reward students who arrive in class on time and ready with short activities that they can benefit from rather than holding it against those who are faced with challenges that could be beyond their control.

It showed me the importance of engaging with class right from the start and also setting up for any further discussions.

Learning about the advantages and disadvantages of each type of assessment. 

I learnt the importance of active learning and getting student participation in class by using for example, CATS.

It is important to formulate the right questions so students can think about the information which in turns fosters greater discussions and interactions. 

Very interesting to learn about the different learning styles of my students. This in turn will help me to improve my teaching techniques to reach all the students were they are.
