It is a more elaborate and much more specific plan. Taking into account the material as it is taught, the tools of use and the objectives of the class. I would like to apply it to each topic of the class. At a weekly level to be able to accustom the student that for example: on Mondays there is theory, on Tuesday deliver the Monday assignment and clarify doubts, Wednesday tutorial and Thursday doubts of this week and review of the week with a quiz.
There are many teaching styles and a variety of teaching tools to enhance each teaching style. It is important to assess the type of instructor you are and then assess the teaching tools to determine what works best with your style of teaching and for the student.
I have learned about different teaching styles and the roles instructor must be aware of when providing online teaching. This helps me understand how not to leave any students behind and be aware of student needs. When planning, consider things from every angle.
I learned aobut the various technology tools and how to match them to teaching styles for facilitated learning.
i learned about how to match tools to teaching style for max effectiveness
What tools to use for instructing best for teaching and learning. Students feedback very important
I learned that tools may have a multitude of functions, but it's essential to match the right tool with the function that is appropriate for student learning.
The most important idea that I took away from this module is how to use technology to assist myself and students. Technology can be used to help teachers through online trainings. When choosing technology tools, teachers should review the tool to be sure that it works correctly and is set up to achieve the highest learning possible for the student.
One thing that was brought to my attention is the use of voiceover powerpoints. I have not thought of using this technology in the LMS, but I belive it would be of huge benefit to students.
This module is the firend of the instructor anf the student. It is important that as an instructor tha you learn how it works and make sure that it works correctly before putting it out for the students. There should also be feedback from others to see if the technology is useful and functional.
I learned the importance of choosing, assessing, and using the right technology tools for the right job when teaching online. Identifying and contuniously assessing my teaching style while looking for ways to better facilitate learnkng is key to students successfully meeting course outcomes while having a memorable and enriching classroom experince.
I learned that there are many different tools for us to use. We need to assess them and how they can help us teach the students. We can be creative with the technology, but always make sure you are getting the desired results. If not, you may have to change the technology or how you are using the technology.
From this module, I learned that an instructor should carefully curate the list of technology tools they use. Limiting the options and choosing the appropriate tool in each situation will help students to better learn the tools themselves, know what to expect, and to focus on the learning, rather than the technology.
I learned that there are many tools that can be used in online learning. I also learned that as teachers we need to assess what our teaching style is and adapt that style for the online classroom. As with all teaching matters, feedback and reflection is critical to the learning process. I liked the stop, start, continue process. I also learned how important it is to match the online tool to the desired outcome.
I believe that it is important to know your style of taching and how to use technology to enhance your stenghts and weaknesses. And you must always get feedback from the students and constantly evaluate your self.
This Module was very informative. I have learned to assess different learning tools that compliment the the content delivery. If not matched effectively, it may inhibit the student from successfully learning the content. I have also gained insight on my teaching style.
I have learned the importance of properly selecting the appropriate technology tool and be sure instructors use the appropriate tool to satisfy the course objectives/student outcomes. I've learned that virtual classrooms are the most interactive approached, they were modeled after F2F and can be recorded and presented later in an asynchronous learning. There are 5 teaching styles: authority, demonstrator, facilitator, delegate and expert yet every style should include facilitation.
As an instuctor in electronics iam constantly use and evaluating different tchnologies in the classroom, the greatess asset you can have is being flexible and adaptive to chahgig technologies.
I learned the five teaching styles:
- authority- this is a more authoritative and teacher centered approach to online instruction where the instructor does most of the talking. I don't think this is the best approach as students need to also engage in the course in order to foster critical thinking.
- demonstrator- this is another teacher centered approach where the instructor shows the student how to do something. In regards to technology, students have to have the same tools as the instructor and it may be difficult to demonstrate something on one device as the student is preoccupied with watching the instructor which would make it difficult to follow along.
- facilitator- in this style of teaching the instructor acts as a guide to students. Learning is through guided discovery and the instructor acts a valuabel resource for students.
- delegator- in this approach the instructor delegates coursework to students that foster learning. However it's important to note that the learning or objectives have to be clearly communicated in for this to work students have to be highly motivated and self disciplinedin this approach the instructor delegates coursework to students that foster learning. However it's important to note that the learning or objectives have to be clearly communicated in for this to work and students have to be highly motivated and self disciplined
- expert-the expert approach is with the instructor has expertise and expects a higher degree of professionalism from students then the other teaching styles. The instructor may seem rigid and I'm moving in this style.
I learned that with these tools it helps both the teachers and students have a better understanding of on-line courses, and how there are so many different technique's that can be use to better one's experience when it comes to on-line classes.
