No matter how you choose to teach, students must still learn content before moving on to more advanced courses. Be sure to stay consistent within the course with an organizational plan. Engage the students from the beginning of class so that they will want to learn.

Finding ways to get students to participate is important in effective learning. Using feedback can help to evolve a course and continue improving student's understanding.

It is important to choose between asynchronous and synchronous learning and then utilize tools to make sure content can be given effectively. Decide which type of learning is more conducive to the success of the students. If students will struggle to learn on their own, synchronous learning and more guidance is more appropriate. If asynchronous learning is chosen, the instructor must be extremely organized and create an easy to navigate learning environment.

There are many teaching styles and a variety of teaching tools to enhance each teaching style. It is important to assess the type of instructor you are and then assess the teaching tools to determine what works best with your style of teaching and for the student.
