Activity

I've learned that it takes a lot of time and dedication to create an EWS. The sacrifices we make now will pay off later for our students.

Culture is defined as sharing our vision as a business to develop our staff to be more effective and put our customers first. Our ability to communicate our passion for education is how we will grow the business.

The topic of EWS is an ongoing challenge to incorporate with our students. As we mature into a computer-centric culture we have to develop new and established methods to train our students to have better soft skills. The main topics I see as a concern are how to deal with conflict resolution, social media, how to prioritize, and body language recognition.

Instructors,

Thank you for the notes on your students in SharePoint and the email responses on the Daily Absence Report. Admissions can see your communications, and they will not contact the students you have spoken with regarding an absence. Please carbon copy the Admission reps associated with your program if you have pertinent information that is not appropriate in an all-reply email, like a victim of a (blank) crime, the student has (insert) disease, etc. Continue to keep in contact with your students, this is a team effort to have you as the first point of contact, and then Admissions… >>>

In your opinion does learning on the job produce better results than obtaining accolades like certifications or degrees?

Becoming a facilator allows for instructors to gage the tools we are using to better educate our students in an online environment.

Exploring the resources we have also allows for us to make our classes more engaging and keep the focus on learning.
