Keeping good records of communications with students is important as well as knowing where to send them for technical help.
There are many different types of behaviors a student can exhibit. It is important to know how to handle disrupted behaviors appropriately. For behavior management in e-learning, a noisy student can be locked-out depending my institutions policy.
Email is an effective way of communication. However, the minimum turn around time an instructor should promise is 24 hours. It can get overwhelming with multiple messages and can be hard to juggle it all. There are different types of behaviors for online learners which include disruptive, quiet and procrastinator.
This module provided helpful information on how to best handle communication with the students. It highlighted the use and value of email as a method of communication in an online environment.
Always have a backup plan in place for students who have tech issues by giving them a support number or going to a nearby site to connect to internet to continue staying in class
I learned that the way students learn can be based off of their personalities. You have to be diligent in learning who the students are in order to ensure they get what they need from you and the class.
Teaching Online students can be a challenge because procrastination creates anxiety. My goal is to encourage students not to delay assignments.

I learned that online courses has it risk, however by using what I have learnt for this course will help maximized online learning experience in a positive way.
Keeping students engaged is crucial as many can become disengaged from the class, finding new methods and tactics to help students stay engaged will allow for greater participation and retention of knowledge
I learned that organization is key. Keep good records of all communications with students to access any needed information in a timely manner. Remember the instructor is here to see that all students are given a fair opportunity to succeed in the course. Be sure to address any undesirable behavior and work to get student back on course.

- Noisy Student- send email to student advising the student to stay on existing thread till it is exhausted.
- Quiet Student- Engage with a personal email, try to set a student in a small group.
- Disruptive student- Review institution code of conduct with student and take appropriate action.
- Intimidating Student- Direct student attention to grading policy
- Procrastinating Student- Remind student of policies and procedures of on time assignments
It is helpful to understand the different kinds of students so that effective strategies can be used to manage the online classroom setting.
Make sure to help students in more ways than just with content in an online learning environment.

Being careful to not allow any student to feel alienated is critical for retention and satisfaction and needs to happen as soon as the course begins via interaction and personal introductions.
Creo que es muy importante destacar la importancia que tiene el manejo de los conocimientos en pedagogía y neurociencia que debe manejar el docente para gestionar debidamente el avance del aprendizaje de sus alumnos, asimismo debe tener un adecuado manejo de inteligencia emocional; son aspectos y habilidades que va a ir desarrollando conforme a su avance en su práctica docente y para lo cual también es importante una capacitación permanente y apoyo por parte de la institución educativa.
In this module, I learned effective strategies to help students who tend to procrastination stay focused and successfully complete their studies online. Key recommendations include:
Motivate students to complete their tasks in advance and keep backups on alternate storage devices, thus preventing possible loss of information due to technical problems.
Advise on the importance of knowing in depth the characteristics and limitations of your internet provider, to anticipate and mitigate possible interruptions during the performance of academic activities.
Constantly remind students of institutional policies and specific procedures for the timely delivery of assignments, clearly stating the consequences of delays.
