Finding ways to reach students to engage with them is necessary to keep students on top of their assignments within the course. Not every student wants to engage in the same ways so it's important to determine what will work best for each student.

Course delivery helps with understanding.

E-learning empowers students to navigate the course independently and engage in asynchronous communication with the professor. This structure not only facilitates reflection on new terms and concepts but also encourages students to actively seek clarification and deepen their understanding.

I learned to be successful in the e-learning environment, you have to be available, organized and clear about expectations.

Engagement is important by using Interactive elements like discussions, polls, and multimedia can help keep learners involved.
Clear communication is also crucial: clear instructions and expectations helps students navigate the course effectively and reduces confusion alleviating some of the stress.

It’s essential for students to feel comfortable in the online environment and to know that their voices are heard, ensuring that any issues or concerns will be addressed.

The importance of thoroughly understanding course structure, content delivery methods, and assessment strategies. I intend to apply this knowledge by carefully reviewing course materials, clarifying any uncertainties with course authors, and adapting my teaching approach to align with the specific course design and objectives.

I learned that instruction will vary based upon who is teaching the course, but the outcomes and goals of the learning should be the same

Students need to have proper resources to feel supported online. Examples of these would include access to the instructor or an e-learning representative if any issues arise with technology.

Really think about your communication before proceeding- the method of communication, your message, the tone, and what you want to accomplish. Be more mindful and strategic with it.

In this module, I have learned about the importance of becoming familiar with the course delivery techniques and strategies in an online environment. Understanding how content is structured, the timing of assessments, and managing discussions ensures a more organized and efficient learning experience for students.

I plan to apply this knowledge by making sure that students have smooth access to materials and by providing clear guidance and timely feedback to enhance their learning process.

We should think about what our students needs before we structure our online courses.

Understanding technology is omportant

It is important that the Instructor is familiar and comfortable with the subject matter being taught but also have some technical abilities to navigate through the course.

Creating clear ways to navigate the CMS is essential for student and instructor success. Not only should the methods of navigating the CMS be present within the CMS, but they should also be taught prior to being used. It is also important to identify your role as the online instructor and to explain the nature of the course content. The instructor should be with all of the course delivery techniques and strategies.

Knowing your CMS along with course content is key to having a successful online course.

Students in online courses feel more comfortable when they know that they are being supported, and this can lead to a successful online experience.  As long as you have the same goals for the course, instructors can take different approaches and have different methods to reach the goals. It's important for students to be able to easily navigate the course.

Primary support falls at the feet of the instructor.

Variety of student support options based on modality is essential for success

I understood there many different ways of teaching and student learning. That as an instructor you will need to try different things to keep the student learning. Communication in different ways might help different students. Also don't allow students to go off in a different direction keep them on task of the modular at hand.
