Not only should the methods of navigating the CMS be present within the CMS, but they should also be taught prior to being used. It is also important to identify your role as the online instructor and to explain the nature of the course content. The instructor should be with all of the course delivery techniques and strategies.

As long as you have the same goals for the course, instructors can take different approaches and have different methods to reach the goals.
