The consequences of not following the rules and regulations can seriously impact the institution, staff and students! 

The importance of reviewing program knowledge for admissions with instructors or program directors to ensure that admissions can direct the prospect in the right direction. A prospect might come in with a program desire that might not fit their needs. 

I learned the importance of reviewing the technology requirements with prospect for online programs in your institutional catalog. It is important to screen applicants carefully and reject those applicants who may not meet requirements or be able to complete their required courses. 

It is important to provide honest and truthful information regarding programs offered but also ask questions to ensure student understanding of program expectations, requirements and setting realistic expectations in order to meet their training goals. For example: clinical hours, will the student be able to arrange work hours in order to accomplish hours needed for practice? 

I learned how important it is to have a reference notebook checklist on hand and the website information links for updated policies and rules. 

The benefits of being transparent to our students will help them be more comfortable and confident of their decision. 

I have learned how important it is to understand and know everything possible about the Florida Statutes and Rules and knowing your role as an Admission Representative and staying up to date with new regulations and policies.
