intersting theory concerning "variety"

I learned that as a teacher you learn different and you shouldnt teach the way you learn. Each student learns different and before starting a new class you should be able to inquire with your students the way they learn. When this is done this will help you to proceed with class in a matter of how to teach your class.

Understanding different styles of learning can assist me in tailoring the delivery of content in a manner that is suitable to my audience and more effective. Such approach maximizes learning.

I learned that everyone has different learning styles, however they should try and use more learning styles besides their dominate style. When creating lessons, projects, etc. I will incorporate variious learning styles so that all learning styles are being met.

Everyone learns different and by applying different teaching styles the teacher accomodates these differences and bridges the learning gap!

The sensory modalities and their complementary strategies were a great resource. I'll be incorporating them in my future lecturs and labs for sure. These modules have definitely made me want to rework my lectures to appeal to all my diverse learners.

I have been using a learning style assessment the last few years and its very helpful in guiding a particular cohort, but I always cover bases by offering a variety as most students have their own blend of learning styles. Nice to know more about why from this tutorial.

its important to account for various learning styles. and its best to use a variety of teaching methods to be an efficeint instructor

I think it helps as an instructor to realize and understand that there are several learning styles.  You can maximize the impact of what you're teaching by taking the time to know what type of learners you have in the audience.

The importance of taking a comprehensive approach to student learning, by engaging them across all learning styles, ensuring both effective transfer of knowledge and exercising students in styles they may be less comfortable employing.

Focus and try to learn alll the different learning styles in your class to apply those in the activities.

taking into account different learning styles of the students will ensure that everyone is gaining maximum knowledge needed to become proficient with the subject matter.

I have been involved in adult ed for a long time now, but have never heard the concept of kinesthetic learning style. When it was described, I could see this in myself and several others whom I have taught.

Knowing the different learning styles will help me prepare course material and projects to meet those needs.

The idea to survey students before a class, or on the first day, is a good one that can have application on where you seat members of the class. Putting auditory next to written and between kinesthetic learners mixes and provides variety. Also, conducting group work appeals to an adult learning model that is student-centered and mixing in learning styles gets the most bang for the buck. This is a big take away for me that I will implemment into my course of instruction.

Learners are affected by the following tendencies and preferences:

  • Environmental
  • Emotional
  • Sociological
  • Physical

I was aware of learning styles and have studied these styles in my Master's program. A detailed assessment needs to be done on each student before any interventions of teaching are utilized.I believe all styles should be used so each student can learn the material in his or her way.

Understanding that students learn in different ways, and provding different methods to teach the content. Also, asking the cohort to get an idea of which method works best, to see what the main focus will be.

Just as students have different learning styles instructors have different teaching styles. We need to pay attention that they work together.

I think its a great idea to do a Learning Styles Assessment to find out your students learning style.
