Emphasis on the importance of improving teaching styles and materials and that no matter how long you have been teaching, there are always ways to refine the ways you can enhance student learning.
I have learned that presenting as the model of what I want I want reflected by my students will yield the best results. Students look for a guide and a professional to model themselves after, by providing consistency, promptness and professionalism I can help students become the best version of themselves and represent the educational institution.
what I have learned that you must own your class from the first day. With professionalism and leadership.
welcome the class with positive energy letting the student know that the instructor is ready to engage the class with enthusiasm knowledge and professionalism. Great day to work
I have learned that you need to model professionalism in the way you dress, speak, and prepare yourself for class. Being prepared and unrushed is essential. I learned you will loose your students if you try and prove to them that you are the smartest in the room.
Teaching isn’t a monologue from someone who ‘knows it all.’ It’s a shared symphony: it demands preparation, professionalism, empathy—and above all, collaboration. As facilitators, we are living examples of who we want our students to become.
This lesson was a well-needed reminder that teaching is a collaborative effort, not just one experienced individual talking AT a class. A learning environment has to be created, and that can be done by applying said teaching strategies and practicing professionalism.
Instruction of our students begins with preparation, professionalism, and empathy. I myself had been an adult learner, so I can relate to this population of students. I look forward to the journey of encouraging our young and adult students as we learn together.
I learned that as an instructor you are the first and everyday example of what a professional should look and be like and should be
I learned how important it is to not only keep a positive attitude toward my students and the subject matter, but also how important it is to model the behaviors that I want my students to reflect within their chosen fields.
Having a positive outlook and treating them the same way I would treat any other professional in my field. I'm also going to look into my professional development plan and tweak it a little after this training module.
Professionalism and being a good model to my students is important and demonstrates good structure and classroom standard. I think encouraging and supporting students to continue when not motivated or feeling pressured to perform is a great way to learn and build confidence.
I learned that it is imperative to model how you want your students to conduct themselves in a professional setting and the workforce.
I learned first and for most you need to remain professional and put together. Also keep that balance between students that is friendly but not there friend. They need to know your not going to let them side because of a boundary.
I learned the different roles as an instructor as one of them is not babysitting or becoming the students pals.
I have learned that there is a certain level of professionalism that needs to be given when it comes to instructing the students. After reading and watching the videos, I've learned that it is extremely vital that the students have a certain level of respect when it comes to their instructor. So, coming into the classroom and setting boundaries and expectations will go a very long way. When it comes to appearance and public speaking, you want the students to learn that their appearance is very important, so it starts with the instructor.
This module was a great reminder on professionalism, instructing effectively, and efficiently. It is important to set expectations and have goals. Having passion for your subject and what you are teaching will show to your students.
I have learned valuable information on how to display professionalism and engagement as an instructor to students. Key tasks an instructor should consider is to: show up clean, pressed, and on-time, stand at the door to greet students to show them that you are ready and eager to speak about the topic at hand, setup your classroom and supplies prior to the students entering the class. The actions listed would display a great role model for these future workers of society as well. I have also learned the importance of setting professional career goals and timeframes to make me an asset to my students, myself and the organization at which I work.
I appreciate that the attitude of the Instructor towards the material and students is a large part of getting the students invested.
I know that my students are looking to my experience, knowledge, and professionalism about their subject matter to learn from. It is up to me to make sure I adhere to their needs while always striving to improve myself in these matters.
I’m focusing on clear goals, simple structures, and steady reflection. I’ll plan lessons with the end in mind, communicate expectations upfront, and create a welcoming, respectful environment. To keep learners engaged, I’ll mix brief explanations with opportunities to practice and discuss.
