I agree too many rewards can actually make students feel like they are being manipulated to do something.

If students are confident on their skills performance will be better.

Open ended questions are great ways to engage students in a learning activity.

I like that there are many ways to teach and assess. Social media and discussion forum are great ways for students to communicate and learn from each other.

I think Rubrics serves as a guidance for both the student and the teacher. The student knows what the expectations are and the teacher grades the students using the rubric allowing for a fair grade.

I think authentic assessments enables students to be hands on. Performing the skill while verbalizing the steps helps the brain retain the information.

I learned that keeping up with grading is very important especially when students are not doing well and want an explanation of their grade.

Understanding that not all the students have the same knowledge and or abilities to learn. Implementing pretest can assist with designing a teaching plan that can address some barriers that students may have.

Power points can be boring especially if the instructor relies just on them to present presentation. Introducing 5 slides at a time sounds better in the perspective that instructor could use this time to talk about something that is not on the slides, but it's related to the slide.

Taking time to prepare is crucial to one being an instructor. Visuals can also help students.
