In this module, I learned about the different policies around credit transfers and the importance of having that information available to our students/ Prospective students. I also learned the importance of knowing the differences in each role at my institution, and what those jobs are tasked with knowing. It was also reiterated how important it is to keep an up-to-date resource at your disposal in order to be successful and informed in my role as admissions.
From this module I learned that it is extremely important to hold meetings and check the CIE site to stay up to date. It is also important to keep staff updated on changes in policies as well.
Understanding the roles of each department and its organizational chart
Keeping up-to-date resources is very important in staying compliant and gaining as well as maintaining our student body and staff.
I believe that in this module team work is going to make the dream work. Making sure everyone is aware of their roles, understanding that even if you're not accredited that there still is a big responsibility to make sure everyone is on the same page at all times and to reach out if there is confusion.
I have learned about where to find important resources that relate to my role, and best practices for keeping up to date on changes with those resources. Maintain updated, important, and relevant information in a resource notebook to be successful in my role.
It is important to stay up-to-date on all policies and procedures. We also should be making sure the student(s) are informed regarding transferrable credits, if applicable.
I discovered that Regulatory bodies play a crucial role in shaping the decisions, policies, and procedures within the institution. It is essential to be aware of these regulations and understand their influence on our actions.

It is imperative to remain up to date with all regulations for the admissions process. Giving accurate information is the key!
I learned to stay up to date on information; use the Florida CIE website as reference.
In this section, we stressed the importance of keeping up to date information. When giving information to a potential student, we must give the most recent up to date information. The best way to ensure we have this is to attend regular trainings, look for updates at least monthly, and be aware of our industry.
I learned about complying with the accreditation standards and the specific requirements that apply to prospective students.
I have learned that being up to date and current with any changes will help me do my job in admissions.
Begin to set up my institutional notebook, look at policy and procedures and speak with our instructors and directors
I learn the importance of setting up and maintaining a Resource Notebook that contains critical and current information. Some you can get on the Internet, some info is available in printed documents, and others we must ask for.
It's important to know your school's policies on transfer credits.
The Admissions Resource List is a mandatory document for all Admissions staff. The comprehensive development and training of admissions staff on this document will be one of the most valuable assets for any institution of higher education.
I learned that even though I work in the admissions department of my college, its very much recommended to also have knowledge of what the other departments in my college do to provide that information to my students and feel more confident.
This section detailed the importance of remaining current, compliant, and organized. There are resources to assist in organizing the notebook.
