The importance of following your Universities policies and procedures without exception. Also, the necessity of following requirements to the letter of your institutions catalog.

From this module, I learned how crucial it is to clearly understand and accurately communicate the different types of tuition assistance available at our institution. I now recognize that while it’s my responsibility to introduce prospective students and their families to the available options, it is equally important to know when to refer them to the Financial Aid Department for in-depth guidance—especially when Title IV or other formal financial aid programs are involved.

To apply this knowledge, I will first ensure that I am thoroughly familiar with the financial aid section of our catalog, and I will create a detailed, organized section in my Resource Notebook for each type of assistance we offer. I also plan to work closely with my supervisor and the Financial Aid Department to clarify my role in these discussions and understand the procedures for proper referrals.

This training has reinforced how important transparency is during the admissions process. By making sure applicants are fully informed and guided to the appropriate resources, I can help support informed decisions and contribute to a smoother and more trustworthy admissions experience.
