It is very interesting how each generation goes in with different approaches which kind of shows that there are numerous ways of approaching one situation. So figuring out which approach to take with each generation is a task I want to work on.

It allows us to truly recognize our differences when it comes to our generations and understand how each group, as a consensus, may handle life experiences.  I always take the 'Meet people where they are' approach and it has helped me maintain quality relationships with my students.

Questions are important to discern the prospective student's values and goals, which may be quite different than yours.

Is important to understand the behavior of the different generations, and how to communicate with them effectively.

Understanding where a prospective student is coming from enables us to interact meaningfully with them.  Remembering the generational piece of this will be helpful.

Did not realize how fluid the generational characteristics could be, the quiz was also interesting in confirming my habits and characteristics are spot on for my generation.

You can't take for granted how people will react. You need to listen to them, not just talk at them. Take nothing for granted, all people are different.

I think it's an interesting concept for sure. It gave me good insight to what each generation may be like. But one must remember that it is the "study of one."   Each individual is different and may value completely different things. For example, I am technically a Millenial, but my values match up more with Gen X.   So this is something I will definitely keep in mind when communicating, but I feel like the the questions you ask someone in conversation are much more important.

It is nice to know so many people from each generation have the chance to grow and learn alongside each other.

Learning where their coming from help to focus what they value and ways to improve interactions.

It is important to talk with the student about his/her story, expectations, desires, and motivation to determine where they are coming from, what their mindset is, and why they are needing to get back into school. Depending on where they are at in their life/career will be a factor into the motivation to get into school. Older students may be doing it as a responsiblity to care for their family or provide a better lifestyle, younger generations may be doing it because that is what you are supposed to do after high school, or their parents are encouraging them to get into college. Generational gaps typically are going ot lead to the direct reflection of motivation.

Important information in understanding how our generational differences impact our everday communication and choices.

Always listening to your student that is in front of you and not make assumptions about them.

I learned that every generation is diffrent and think diffrently. This will help me to better understand their needs and improve the connection with students.

Generating a better approach for todays learning generation.

Ive learned that you have to be versitile and lern how to adjust to any community. You also have to listen and pay attention in order to know how to communicate to each generation.

I really enjoyed reading about generational diversity-because it does exist and impacts how we communicate with each other.

It makes you understand things in a better prepsective of things in general.

Gives a clear picture of how I am and will intereact with other generations. Also helped to learn how the different generations think, what matters to them. Agreed that Gen Z are on track to be the most educated of all the generations and how teh use of technology will be such an integreal part of their lives

Being aware of generational  differences and appreciated them, helps build trust.
